A vast number of sites on the Internet discuss biblical topics in one way or another. One of the short term goals for the Evangelical Virtual Seminary will be to expand greatly the links to useful sites. The following sites are helpful. ANCIENT NEAR EAST Electronic Tools and Ancient Near Eastern Archives http://www.etana.org. ETANA posts hundreds of books full text and free for ancient Near Eastern studies. Some of these are valuable for background information. Oriental Institute of the University of Chicago http://oi.uchicago.edu/research/ The Oriental Institute posts a large number of sources that can be downloaded full text. BIBLICAL ESSAYS ON VARIOUS TOPICS Biblical Studies.org.uk: An Internet Resource for Studying the Bible, www.biblicalstudies.org.uk The American Journal of Biblical Theology, www.biblicaltheology.com OLD TESTAMENT Answers in Genesis. www.answersingenesis.org. This is one of the more important sites that defend a young earth. Old Testament Gateway (Tabor College, Victoria) www.otgateway.com. This is a useful site that contains links to many essays on other internet sites that discuss Old Testament topics. It is a generally conservative site. NEW TESTAMENT New Testament Gateway (by Mark Goodacre) www.ntgateway.com. This is a useful site with many links to studies about New Testament passages. Many of the links bring you to articles published in professional journals (although most of the journals are today mainstream (liberal) journals. SYSTEMATIC THEOLOGY CRG Wiki, http://apologeticscourses.com/TextBooks/HomePage. This is a very valuable site. It contains a lot of serious evangelical studies including apologetics studies by Philip C. Johnson and Saneesh Cherian. These articles are copyrighted in an unusual way that allows users to rewrite them as long as they include the same copyright that covers them now.
