Mentored Programs offer a more formal educational experience than the Independent Study Programs. To use the Mentored Programs, it is important to begin by finding a friend or pastor whose opinions you trust. Then ask that person to mentor you as you study with EVS. When you complete course work for these courses, submit your work to your mentor for his evaluation. As with all work at EVS, these are not academic courses, and the offer no academic credit, degrees, or credentials.
Two programs of study will be included in the Mentored Programs of EVS. The first is the Beginning Ministry program. It can be found at the link on this page. It is intended for laymen who want to improve their ability to serve God in His kingdom. The Beginning Ministry program resembles a MDiv program in a traditional seminary. The Beginning Ministry program can help prepare someone for ministry either in an independent church or in a denomination that does not require a seminary degree. Remember though that any academic program can not guarantee any student employment at the end of the program. The second course of study being developed for the Mentored Programs is the Pastor Scholar program. It is designed for working pastors, and it is a useful tool that is intended to help pastors increase their ministry skills.
