Dr. Rodger W. Dalman is the President and CEO of the Evangelical Virtual Seminary. Dr. Dalman was raised as a pastor's son in the Reformed Church in America. In 1970, he finished a B.A. in Literature at Northwestern College in Orange City, IA. Between 1970 and 1990, he studied at Westminster Theological Seminary (Chestnut Hill, PA), Biblical Theological Seminary (Hatfield, PA), and Concordia Theological Seminary (St. Louis, MO). During these years, he finished a M.Div., a S.T.M. in Old Testament, and a Th.D. in Exegesis with an Old Testament Emphasis. Dr. Dalman taught teenagers with autism for seven years. For five years, he taught Sociology and Anthropology at Northwestern College in Roseville, MN. Between 1996 and 2009, he also served as the main Old Testament professor for Trinity College of the Bible and Theological Seminary of Newburgh, IN. Dr. Dalman has also read a variety of papers at regional and annual meetings of both the Evangelical Theological Society and the Society of Biblical Literature. He has had articles published in both Bible&Spade and the Journal of the Evangelical Theological Society. Dr. Dalman's work is known for being highly innovative, and it stresses the relationship between the developing biblical text and the cultural environment of the ancient Near East.
